Do you find that you get hot around the collar? Are you easily irritated, short tempered, or aggressive? Recent research links trans fatty acids to irritability and aggression. Trans fats are found in many processed foods. They are manufactured from liquid oils through a process called hydrogenation, and are also called hydrogenated fats. Supplemental Sunlight: Vitamin D

I spent much of my childhood in southern California, where getting sufficient sunlight exposure is not a problem. Walking to and from school and playing outdoors during school recess and on the weekends, I received plenty of direct sunlight. 

Now I live in the northern latitudes of the Pacific Northwest, where clouds and fog limit access to direct sunlight much of the year, as does the lowering of the sun on the southern horizon during winter months. Read more...

Study: ADHD Often Misdiagnosed in Children

Do doctor's prescribe dangerous medication unnecessarily? While highly addictive  and  causing  dangerous  side  effects,  doctors routinely prescribe  psychostimulants to children and adults they have diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). While these drugs do nothing to address the cause of ADHD, they do improve the mental clarity and focus of someone who is otherwise inattentive.
