Supplemental Sunlight: Vitamin DI spent much of my childhood in southern California, where getting sufficient sunlight exposure is not a problem. Walking to and from school and playing outdoors during school recess and on the weekends, I received plenty of direct sunlight.
Now I live in the northern latitudes of the Pacific Northwest, where clouds and fog limit access to direct sunlight much of the year, as does the lowering of the sun on the southern horizon during winter months.
